Stephanie McEnery
Stephanie McEnery is a proud graduate of the William and Mary Law School, the oldest law school in the country and an alum of the University of Florida.
Stephanie lives and breathes for the courtroom. As an experienced criminal trial attorney, Stephanie is not afraid to confront the prosecutors and press her client’s cases for a successful outcome no matter the odds.
In the first three months of 2025, prior to relocating from Port St. Lucie and joining The Law Offices of Andrew Shein P.A., Stephanie filed three demands for speedy trial and through her persistence and persuasion, the following charges were dropped for clients:
- 3 counts of possession of child pornography with intent to promote sexual performance, 13 counts of transmission of child pornography, and 1 count of felony tampering,
- Aggravated battery,
- Felony DUI,
- Possession of Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia, and
- Petit Theft.
Additionally, Stephanie has successfully litigated numerous Stand Your Ground motions resulting in the dismissal of criminal charges for her clients. Stephanie has argued and won motions to suppress confessions, field sobriety exercises, breath test results, and contraband found pursuant to an illegal search. She was granted Oral Argument in the Fifth District Court of Appeals on the Fourth Amendment Issue of Delayed Detention.
Stephanie brings her passion for advocacy and confidence in the courtroom to Tampa Bay. She is an active member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, having served as a Chapter Representative and Vice President for her previous local chapter and working in the State Rules Committee.
Stephanie speaks fluent Spanish. She grew up in South Florida and is first generation born American. Her parents are from Honduras, Costa Rica, and New York. Prior to entering private, Ms. McEnery was an Assistant Public Defender in Orlando, Florida. In her free time Stephanie enjoys playing strategy board games, relaxing in the Florida heat at the pool with her dog, Ziva, and going to concerts.
