Nicole N. Sanchez

From 2014-2017, Nicole was a prosecutor in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she handled hundreds of cases ranging from DUIs to attempted murders. She tried 35 jury trials to verdict. As a prosecutor, Nicole honed her trial and courtroom skills and as a result was selected to serve on the State Attorney’s Office hiring committee.

Prior to joining Andrew Shein, P.A., Nicole spent four years as a criminal defense and immigration attorney developing and sharpening her impressive courtroom and advocacy skills in both Tampa Bay and South Florida. Nicole practices in State and Federal court, in the EOIR Immigration Court defending clients facing deportation from the United States and has presented oral argument in front of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Nicole has extensive experience with drafting and arguing motions for postconviction relief and both State and Federal criminal appeals.

Nicole grew up in Puerto Rico, South Florida, and the Dominican Republic before making her home here in Tampa.  She is a proud graduate of the University of Central Florida and Nova Southeastern University’s Shephard Broad Law Center.

Outside of the courtroom, Nicole and her husband (who is also a criminal defense attorney) are raising their energetic baby son, their Moyen poodle and together they enjoy exploring the Tampa Bay area.  Nicole is an enthusiastic basketball fan and cheers on her favorite team, the Miami Heat.  She is also a UFC superfan rooted from her San Juan childhood watching boxing matches with her father. Nicole and her family love to travel and travel frequently to Puerto Rico to visit family and friends.
